40 hours per week, in shifts between 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 1pm Saturday

£22,800 (including car allowance) to c £30,000 OTE

Field based Collection Agents are responsible for visiting residential and commercial customers in arrears on behalf of major Energy and Water utilities for the purpose of debt resolution, collecting payments, securing payment arrangements and making contact visits.

Listening and negotiation skills are essential to help achieve the best outcome by establishing the customers financial circumstances in order to agree the most appropriate solution.

Full training is given, but the successful candidates need to be able to demonstrate experience of:

Good negotiation and objection handling skills, empathy, assertiveness, tact, resilience and the ability to relate to people from a variety of backgrounds

Role responsibilities include :

  • Visiting customer properties on a daily/weekly basis as agreed
  • Discuss with the customer their arrears and negotiate repayment solutions
  • Submit payments and complete all paperwork into the office in line with procedure

The successful candidates will need to have a clear DBS/CRB, driving licence and own car and a satisfactory credit check.
